Time: 2:30p.m. – 4:00p.m.
Venue: Hong Kong Observatory Headquarter, TST
On 13 April, our S6 Science students visited the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) Headquarters. We had a chance to take a close look at the heart of the Observatory - the Forecasting Office. Every day, the meteorologists monitor the weather of Hong Kong and make accurate weather forecast in the Forecasting Office. The Conference Room, the historical 1883 Building, the Centenary Exhibition Centre were also very impressive. The Exhibition Centre shows the model of equipment used in everyday weather monitoring. Finally, we could step on the front lawn and see the instruments there. This visit enriched our understanding of the work of the Hong Kong Observatory.
